Today is an important and exciting day for our lab. Mehmet Ilyas Cosacak graduated very successfully after defending his PhD thesis that focused on generating neurodegeneration models in zebrafish. He is now a “Dr”. We wholeheartedly congratulate him!
His PhD was extraordinary. Ilyas graduated with an outstanding 12 publications. He first authored 5, co-authored 5 from our lab and 2 with our collaborators. He generated the first single cell sequencing dataset on neural stem cells of the adult zebrafish brain in health and Alzheimer’s conditions. He generated new algorithms to determine cell types and their interactions.
Congratulations! Thanks for all your efforts that added a lot to our lab! We wish you a great success ahead in your surely long and successful career!
